The Bridge Creek Board of Education voted unanimously on Jan. 14 to rehire Superintendent David Morrow and approve his contract following an executive-session review. The board entered executive session under 25 O.S. §307(B)(1) to discuss the superintendent’s contract and reconvened to take the formal vote.
"Motion to rehire and approve the contract of Superintendent, David Morrow," was made by Mrs. Danielle Epps and seconded by Mrs. Robyn Esparza; the motion passed 5–0. Present for the executive-session discussion were Superintendent David Morrow and all five board members, and the board read a compliance statement on returning to open session.
The action followed a district-level personnel discussion in executive session; no votes were taken while the board was in closed session. The board did not announce additional contract terms in the public minutes. The next procedural step recorded in the minutes was adjournment at 7:26 PM.
