Officer Paul Loveday introduced Preston City’s new honorary-officer program and presented 10-year-old Zeke Schmidt as the city’s first honorary officer for a day. Loveday administered an officer’s oath, presented Schmidt with a badge and plaque, and escorted him to the police department for refreshments and a ride-along.
The council also approved several business licenses during the meeting, including Taters Restaurants LLC, Ricky’s Hard Soda LLC, Duke Building Co, and Paw-Fection Pet Spa LLC; names and addresses were read into the record and entered with the minutes.
