Director of City Planning and Land Use Shawn Oliverson reviewed a series of proposed amendments to the Preston City Comprehensive Plan at the April 27 meeting. The recommended revisions update multiple elements: statistics tables, removal of restrictive language about multifamily housing in several elements, adding renovation plans for 4th East and safety improvements for State Street, updating references to Franklin County coordination, and revisions intended to preserve existing property rights.
Councilmember Brent Dodge moved and Councilmember Chris Larsen seconded approval of the recommended changes from the Planning and Zoning Commission; the motion received unanimous approval. The action amends the Comp. Plan to reflect updated data and policy direction identified by staff and commissioners.
