The Preston City Council on April 27 approved a 30-year lease granting the Preston Community Food Pantry occupancy of the building at 570 West Oneida and required the Pantry to post a $300,000 cash performance bond, Jim Read confirmed. Attorney Lyle Fuller presented the lease terms to the council.
Council also voted to waive the water connection fee of $9,000.00, the sewer connection fee of $9,000.00, the $150.00 building permit fee and the city’s portion of the building permit estimated at $856.60; the Preston Community Food Pantry remains obligated to pay the building inspector’s portion estimated at $856.60. The motion to enter into the lease and grant the fee waivers passed unanimously.
