Board moves forward on INDOT pavement program preapplication, plans BFNS services
Summary
The board discussed a revived INDOT state-local pavement program (75% state / 25% local match, $5M program, 75% share capped at $100,000 per airport). The airport received preapproval and plans to contract BFNS for pavement professional services (consultant fee ~ $12,000) and solicit bids in August.

Airport Manager Jessica Ward summarized the INDOT state-local pavement initiative, saying the program offers a 75% state / 25% local match and that the states 75% share tops out at $100,000 per airport. Ward said the airport submitted a pre-application and received preapproval, and that the proposed work would fill pavement gaps left by the earlier $730,000 seal/service‑coat project.
Ward explained the local match for the airports project is roughly $33,477 and that BFNS is proposed to provide pavement maintenance professional services ("12,000 exactly," Ward said when asked about the consultant fee). She said the airport plans to solicit quotes and anticipated bringing solicited quotes to the August board meeting.
