The Waukesha City Building & Grounds Committee approved a change to on-street parking on the east side of the 300 block of Northwest Avenue, in front of the old Horizon West building. Greg, a staff member, said the referral came from Alder Helvinslaven and explained the proposal would convert the no-parking stretch to two-hour parking, 6 a.m.–5 p.m. on weekdays, consistent with adjacent blocks.
Greg told the committee that police parking staff reviewed the proposal and were supportive, and that the new signs would be placed on existing signposts. "We're putting them on the existing signposts that are remaining," he said. Committee members asked whether parked cars would have room to open doors given nearby driveways; Greg said the change should add a couple of extra spaces while preserving driveway access. The motion to approve carried after a voice vote.
