ICfL reports FY2026 budget submission, staff changes and outreach activities

Jamie Smith, ICfL Financial Manager, told the board the agency submitted its FY2026 budget on Sept. 1 and is in a period of technical corrections, working with Division of Financial Management and Legislative Services Office analysts to prepare the agency request for presentation to the governor and Joint Finance-Appropriations Committee.
State Librarian Stephanie Bailey-White reported two personnel updates, including the technical records specialist’s retirement at the end of the month and approval to reclassify an administrative assistant position as a grants specialist. Baker said federal digital access funds will support hiring a limited-services project coordinator and a digital navigator customer service representative. Staff updates also covered outreach and conference attendance, grant closeout work, and plans to implement a new grant-management system.
