She also detailed ongoing early-learning supports: My First Books monthly shipments run from October to May to 47 participating libraries, and the ICfL sent roughly 6,200 books to 100 libraries during Idaho Family Reading Week.
"Program participation from public libraries was up 30% in 2024, with about 107,000 participants," Florko said. The ICfL will offer regional workshops focused on early learning and continues to train new grants staff to support these programs.
The board received the operations update as informational. The figures provide context for the board’s decisions about LSIF expenditures and other youth-service priorities.
