Development Services Program Supervisor Talela Florko told the board that program participation from public libraries increased about 30% in 2024, reaching approximately 107,000 participants. She also detailed ongoing early-learning supports: My First Books monthly shipments run from October to May to 47 participating libraries, and the ICfL sent roughly 6,200 books to 100 libraries during Idaho Family Reading Week.
"Program participation from public libraries was up 30% in 2024, with about 107,000 participants," Florko said. The ICfL will offer regional workshops focused on early learning and continues to train new grants staff to support these programs.
