The Idaho Board of Library Commissioners voted Oct. 16 to approve expenditure of up to $34,000 from the Library Services Improvement Fund (LSIF) to cover additional continuing education grant requests and to support Creative Aging workshops.
State Librarian Stephanie Bailey-White explained the request reflects an uptick in applications and will help fund in-person continuing-education events returning toward pre-pandemic attendance levels, while supporting Creative Aging programming. Vice-Chair Janet Franklin moved to approve the expenditure; Commissioners Norma Staaf and Dawn Wittman seconded at the same time; the motion carried unanimously.
