The Oregon Trail School District 46 board on Sept. 8 approved two out-of-state travel requests.
Andy Wex, the district’s Oceanic Science teacher, requested approval for the Oceanic Science and Aquanauts to travel to San Juan Island Oct. 17–19, 2025; the board approved the request on a motion by Randy Carmony, seconded by Jeffery Grandi (Action 2025-09-04). Sandy High School Principal Sarah Dorn separately requested approval for the cheer squad to travel to a Regional Cheer Competition; the board approved that request as well (Action 2025-09-05).
Both motions passed unanimously. No additional conditions or funding specifics were recorded in the minutes; arrangements and logistics were not detailed in the meeting record.
