Board hears urgent water-well findings; repairs and power check planned

Board members were briefed on immediate water concerns after contractor Garcia & Garcia inspected the community well. Chairman Pollie Carter said the well is "839 deep" and that a camera inspection showed the water "clears up" around 490 feet; contractors reported that the system is drawing too much air and recommended addressing piping and pump sizing.
Matt Nelson, who assisted with the water report, said the board will operate on one well for "the next 4 to 6 weeks" while repairs are estimated and replacement parts are ordered. The board asked the power company to determine whether the service requires an upgraded transformer to support a larger pump before installing one.
