Preston council approves consent calendar, honors state-champion students

Mayor Dan Keller called the April 13, 2026, Preston City Council meeting to order at 5:00 P.M. The council first handled routine business: it approved the March 23, 2026 minutes and then approved the remainder of the consent calendar, which included bills through April 13, 2026 and the Treasurer’s Monthly/Quarterly Report dated March 31, 2026. The consent items passed following recorded motions by Councilmember Todd Thomas and Councilmember Brent Dodge.
Council members also recognized student achievements. The council honored Krew Keller of Preston High School as the 2026 5A Idaho State wrestling champion for his weight division and presented the Preston High School girls basketball team with recognition for earning their third straight academic state championship, the minutes show. Photos and gift cards were presented to the students during the meeting.
