Council approves converting north softball field to dirt diamond with $5,000 cap

Council debated concerns about sandy winds, goathead weeds and the implications for other youth sports fields. Councilmember Todd Thomas moved, and Councilmember Chris Larsen seconded, approval to convert only the north field to a dirt softball diamond under proposal #3 with a budget cap of $5,000; the vote was unanimous.
