ICfL reports staffing updates, technology refresh and outreach programs

State Librarian Stephanie Bailey-White told commissioners that the ICfL's budget hearing before the Joint Finance-Appropriations Committee (JFAC) went well and that staff will continue preparing for a robust April agenda. Jamie Smith, Financial Manager, said the ICfL is hiring a Grants Specialist and expects a smoother fiscal transition due to familiarity with the Luma system.
E-Services Program Supervisor William Lamb reported completion of an internal technology refresh and that the ICfL hosts 94 eBranch websites; he also said the organization is onboarding the new Digital Navigator Project Coordinator. Talela Florko highlighted outreach numbers for Jump Start Kindergarten: “the ICfL provided about 11,600 books through the program, reaching just over 8,900 children at 184 schools. Fifty-six libraries participated, issuing 158 new library cards.”
