ICfL plans expansion of digital navigator service with University of Idaho and AmeriCorps partners

Digital Inclusion Consultant Chelsea Summerlin told the board the ICfL launched a statewide digital navigator service in July 2023 and plans to expand the pilot by partnering with the University of Idaho's Digital Economy Program. The University has recruited eight digital navigators through the American Connection Corps and AmeriCorps to serve primarily rural and underserved areas; the ICfL will host one navigator and use DAAI implementation funds to hire a project coordinator and a customer service representative.
Summerlin described the navigators as providing individualized, flexible support by phone and through online tutorials. The board received the informational report; no formal action was requested at this meeting.
