State Librarian Stephanie Bailey-White reported Aug. 15 that the Idaho Commission for Libraries' FY2025 allotment from the Institute of Museum and Library Services is $1,741,000. She said the ICfL also receives federal support through the Idaho Humanities Council and the Idaho Department of Education but that overall budgets are tight and the agency is close to its spending authority limit.
Bailey-White said the ICfL management team reviews and adjusts budgets quarterly to align spending with the agency's strategic plan. The report flagged constrained spending authority as a key factor shaping near-term budget decisions.
