State Librarian Stephanie Bailey‑White told the Idaho Board of Library Commissioners that the Commission’s allotment from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) for FY2025 is $1,741,000 and that the agency is “right at its spending authority limit.” Staff said budgets are tight and that management will review and adjust budgets quarterly to align with the ICfL strategic plan.
Bailey‑White also described state budget pressures, including a $79,000 increase in rent and other rising costs, and said the state budget for the agency includes travel and professional development for board members. Financial Manager Jamie Smith noted the fiscal team closed out FY2024 in the Luma system and is preparing the FY2026 submission, which is due Aug. 30, 2024.
