The Idaho Board of Library Commissioners convened Aug. 15, 2024, and unanimously approved the meeting agenda and the minutes from the June 13, 2024 meeting. Vice‑Chair Janet Franklin moved to approve the agenda; Commissioner Michael Strickland moved to approve the minutes; both motions carried without objection.
State Librarian Stephanie Bailey‑White presented additions to the Commission’s FY2026 budget request, including a proposal to raise the agency’s federal spending authority cap and a one‑time reappropriation of $170,000 for capital projects. The board approved the FY2026 request and authorized the state librarian to adjust the submission as required by the Idaho Division of Financial Management or the Legislative Services Office. Commissioners also voted to hold the next regular meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2024, at 10 a.m. MDT.
