Councilperson Sabo moved to approve the acceptance of a bid to install gas generators (Resolution 2025-03-25). Supervisor Bott declined to second the motion, saying he was not comfortable proceeding because the town had received only one bid and there was nothing to compare it to. Bott then moved to table the resolution and the board voted to table it unanimously.
Board members agreed to reauthorize the procurement process to solicit additional bids rather than award a contract based on a single submission. The tabling preserves competitive procurement and gives staff time to re-advertise the project.
