North Greenbush approves new sewer jet and dump truck for Utilities Department

At the May 8 meeting the Town Board approved capital purchases to support utility operations, including a new sewer cleaner/sewer jet and a dump truck. Water Supervisor Keith Hankle explained the need: "we spent over $40,000.00 on jetting pws. We already spent $3,000.00 plus just last week. Our machine was purchased over 40 years ago and we definitely got our money’s worth out of it and it is just time for a new one."
Councilwoman Sabo later moved to authorize a dump truck for the Utilities Department (seconded by Deputy Supervisor Hoffman); the board voted Aye. Keith Hankle said the town’s growth has increased workload and the truck is necessary to meet demands. The votes were recorded as unanimous; no amendments or contingencies were attached to the purchase approvals at the meeting.
