North Greenbush board confirms 2025 appointments, committee rosters

The North Greenbush Town Board completed its annual organizational business on Jan. 9, approving the town’s 2025 appointments, committees and official administrative designations.
Supervisor Joseph Bott opened the organizational meeting at 6:30 p.m. and the board adopted rules of order, set regular meetings for the second Thursday of each month at 7 p.m., designated town business hours and named The Record as the official newspaper. The board also set petty cash funds for the Town Clerk, Town Justice and the Police Department at $200 each.
The board approved a long list of staff and advisory appointments, including Kelly Hoffman as Deputy Town Supervisor, James Greenfield as Town Historian and town-engineering and legal contracts with Eric Westfall and deputy attorneys Henry Bauer, Phil Danaher and Al Kowlakowski. Supervisor Bott moved to accept the slate and, after a poll vote requested by Acting Town Attorney Phil Danaher, all members present voted Aye; Councilwoman Jessica Merola was absent.
Committee rosters were similarly adopted. The Town Disaster Plan Committee and the Public Safety Committee passed unanimously. The Youth and Recreation Committee was approved with Councilwoman Kelly Hoffman recorded as abstaining on that motion. The Climate Smart Committee roster passed despite a recorded No vote from Councilwoman Jessica Sabo, who said she wanted to be nominated because she had seen “no progress” since leaving the committee.
The organizational meeting adjourned at 6:46 p.m. The full appointment lists and committee rosters will be retained in the town’s meeting records.
