North Greenbush approves grant-funded server, VPN and license plate reader purchases

Councilwoman Sabo moved approval of the VPN (Resolution 2024-11-98), seconded by Councilwoman Hoffman, and Councilman Gordon moved the license plate reader purchase (Resolution 2024-11-99), seconded by Supervisor Bott; those motions also passed unanimously among members present. Chief Keevern, who presented the related resolutions, emphasized that "all 3 resolutions were to be paid by grants."
The resolutions do not obligate local tax levy funds according to meeting remarks; the board recorded the approvals as routine grant-funded equipment acquisitions. The purchases will proceed to procurement per the town's purchasing policies.
