Police Captain White sworn in at North Greenbush meeting
Summary
The Town Board appointed and sworn in Police Captain White after moving his swearing-in to the top of the agenda so family could attend. The board voted unanimously to appoint him and Chief Keevern administered the oath.
Supervisor Robert Bott and the Town Board moved the swearing-in of the new police captain to the start of the Dec. 12 meeting so family members could attend. Councilman Gordon moved the appointment of Police Captain White, and Councilwoman Hoffman seconded; the minutes record: "All board members voted Aye; motion carried."
Chief Keevern administered the oath and Captain White signed the town's Oath Book in a brief ceremony. The board had earlier approved the agenda change by motion from Councilwoman Merola, seconded by Councilwoman Hoffman, so the family could witness the swearing-in.
