Joshua Knapp, representing Fury Fast Pitch, told the Town Board Field 4 was recently 'skinned' for little league and softball and urged the Town to continue the practice because it makes play easier for younger children and allows larger tournaments to be hosted. "Field four (4) was skinned for little league and softball use... I would like to push the continuation of skinning the fields," Knapp said.
Justin Pack, with the Thunder softball team, said tournaments bring visitors who support local businesses; he said his tournaments currently use three different locations and that additional fields would allow events to remain in the Holding Point area. Both speakers framed the request as supporting youth sports and local economic activity.
