Pilot Rock administrators report enrollments, attendance rates and student activities

Superintendent and elementary principal Troy Jerome reported elementary enrollment at 145 students in PreK–6 with a 93.8% average attendance rate. Jerome noted a volunteer-led choir serving 15 fifth- and sixth-grade students and that sixth grade attended Outdoor School at Camp Elkanah.
Assistant Superintendent and secondary principal David Norton reported secondary enrollment at 147 students with an 88.6% attendance rate. Norton said staff reviewed fall MAP testing results, new carpet and signage in the gym entry were donated by the Rocket Boosters and the Pilot Rock Education Association, seniors participated in job shadow experiences on Oct. 1, and the Robotics team (15 members) will attend its first meet Nov. 20. Athletics updates included the volleyball team's advancement to the district tournament and the football team’s Oct. 16 game in Dufur.
