Assistant Superintendent and Secondary Principal David Norton told the board that Measure 98 funds would support a Heavy Equipment Operating class (scheduled March 19–28) and the construction of a partition wall to create an Aspire Room in the high school library. Two bids for the Aspire Room were received: Rob Merriman Plumbing and Metcalf Construction.
The board later voted to accept the Metcalf Construction bid for the Aspire Room under Measure 98 funding. The motion, moved by Keri Standley and seconded by Tim Weinke, was approved by all board members present except Jeff Hemphill, who voted no.
