Shelter move nearly complete; Coffee County committee discusses ribbon-cutting

“We're moving in right now. We're over—we're probably 75% there,” Craig said, and described remaining items including two phones that still need to be installed and a few cabinets that must be secured. He told the committee he expected to coordinate a ribbon-cutting with the mayor and another official (named Terry), possibly next week, and that staff would work to have the branding materials ready in time.
Craig said staff had relocated many animals during recent heavy rain and estimated about 12 dogs still needed to be moved; he said Manchester may occupy the old space. Committee members confirmed the replacement truck was ordered in last year’s budget and that staff would follow up on delivery timing. The committee did not make any new budget allocations during the discussion.
