The department asked the committee to repeal the independent TANF/TAFE chapter as part of the consolidated federal-welfare rules. Jared Larson said the repeal follows the committee's action to adopt the consolidated chapter and that the department recommended adopting the repeal docket.
Representative Tanner asked a specific policy question about whether TANF recipients or household members can be required to be vaccinated as a condition of receiving benefits. Larson said he was uncertain, that he was not aware of such a requirement, and that the department would research the question and report back to the committee. "I don't have the answer to you, but we will get back to you about that," Larson said. The repeal docket was moved and approved by voice vote.
