Board hears estimate and parts list for Well #2 repairs; schedules vendor work

Board member Matt reported that a submersible pump had resolved prior air issues in the system but that well #2's pre-lube quit working and must be pulled to assess shaft damage. "Klamath Pump said he could change the pump on #2 and it should be $400, but we need a new shaft. The sand is eating the shaft," Matt said, noting the final cost will be unknown until the pump is pulled for inspection.
Matt asked for three screw jacks to support piping in well house #3 (about $100) and said the community still needs a surge protector for well #3 (about $400). He said he would schedule Klamath Pump to begin the necessary repairs. Treasurer Judy Mangrum confirmed there are funds in the water fund to pay for the screw jacks and that purchase should not be delayed.
