Glendora staff report small drop in water use, outline rebates and outreach

Armando de Jesus told the commission the city’s conservation program continued device and turf rebate work and community outreach during the fourth quarter of FY25–26. He listed device installations (15 irrigation controllers, 2 toilets, 15 clothes washers, 40 irrigation nozzles and two leak monitors), said the combined device rebates with NWD totaled $20,889, and said city and partner agencies each contributed about $16,232 for turf-replacement rebates.
Armando said the city renewed its contract with WaterWise Consulting, completed 21 residential surveys and 10 irrigation retrofits this quarter, and that a low-participation commercial nonfunctional-turf rebate was sunsetted in March 2026. “We did run that program for 2 years, and I believe we only received 4 participants,” he said. Commissioners asked whether survey recipients saw bill reductions; Armando offered to present a before-and-after consumption analysis at a future meeting. The commission voted 5–0 to receive and file the conservation program update.
