Participants urge Port to ask NOAA to relocate weather station to improve dock maneuvering

After the map review the group walked the dock to view proposed hoist locations. While observing site constraints, participants "unanimously suggested" the Port contact the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to request relocation of the local weather station currently situated at the south end of the dock.
Workshop attendees said moving the weather station could allow the southernmost hoist to be shifted a few feet farther south, increasing maneuvering space for vessels between the two hoists and improving overall dock functionality. The recommendation was framed as a staff follow-up item — the group did not record a formal motion or vote on the request during the workshop.
