District scorecard shows gains in K–5 reading and 9th-grade on-track rate; some data still pending

Superintendent Cline and Assistant Superintendent Seeberg presented the District Scorecard update, reporting measurable progress on several student outcomes. For K–5 reading, grades K–5 reached 81.8% median progress toward stretch growth as measured by the spring iReady reading diagnostic. Ninth-grade on-track to graduate improved to 88.3% at the end of Trimester 2 (2023–24), up from 87% for the 2022–23 school year. Officials reported that some Tri 3 data were not yet available.
The presentation included attendance and support-service metrics: officials reported regular attendance (90% or better) at 63.4% for 2023–24 (noted as 'currently at' and awaiting official release), and updated figures on UpShift substance-use support completion (96% completion rate reported for 2023–24 across participants). Board members discussed using these data to refine 2024–25 goals, including adding per-school targets and middle-school reading proficiency measures.
