Public hearing held and first reading conducted on East Sixth Street vacation (Ordinance 1100)

Mayor Jerry Cole opened a public hearing at 6:26 p.m. on a proposal to vacate the portion of East Sixth Street between East D Street and East E Street (Ordinance 1100). Applicant Kim Adolph told the council the platted street has long served as a driveway for her and neighboring properties.
City Administrator W. Scott Jorgensen reported that city staff reviewed the matter and had no objections; Mayor Cole said the proposed vacation would not landlock any property owners and then closed the hearing at 6:28 p.m. Council conducted the ordinance's first reading; no adoption vote was recorded at first reading.
