Council appoints committee to evaluate hazardous tree removal request after Dec. 18 storm

Resident Jordan Styner told the council he had a tree fall on his property during the Dec. 18 storm that blocked the roadway and that another tree fell into the public right-of-way. He provided an estimate for removal and asked for city assistance.
City Administrator W. Scott Jorgensen referenced Resolution 21-07-01, which creates a fund to assist citizens with hazardous tree removals. Mayor Jerry Cole appointed Councilors Mike Kreger and Paul Langner, Jorgensen and Public Works Director Russ Reigel to a committee to evaluate Styner’s request and report back at the next council meeting.
