Simeon highlighted community events and a slate of capital projects planned under Phase 1 of Lake Charles Rebound. He also warned that three recent property-tax renewal measures that together would have provided $8,500,000 in funding failed in the election, and said a proposed budget that reflects that reduction will be presented to the city council in mid-August.
He closed by thanking residents for staying engaged and reiterated the administration’s emphasis on responsible leadership and transparency.
