The Prineville Chamber of Commerce and Explore Prineville presented a combined quarterly report to the council that emphasized staff changes, membership growth and a renewed marketing push to position Prineville as a year-round destination. "We changed our tag this year. You might notice the top. Your 1st choice for living, work, learning, and play," said Dev Shaw, the Chamber's director of commerce and tourism.
Shaw said the Chamber has about 300 members, highlighted recurring programs including Chamberperks and ribbon-cutting events, and described a capital grants program planned for early 2026 to support business beautification, marketing education and community projects. Andrea Weaver, Explore Prineville's tourism development specialist, discussed visitor data from a Datify report covering Jan. 1–Sept. 2025, noting an average stay of roughly 3.5 days and demographic targets with average incomes under $50,000. Weaver also announced a demolition derby scheduled for Oct. 17 at the fairgrounds as a new event the organization will promote.
