At the July meeting, the moderator said, "The connection fee for this fiscal year, 06/01/2026 through 05/31/2027 is $4,337 as compared to last year, which was $3,009.15." The authority noted the auditor determines the fee using an assessment of the authority’s assets, operating costs and equivalent dwelling units (EDUs), and that the board follows that proportionate connection-fee equation annually.
The fee change was included in the packet for members and was introduced for public comment; no members of the public spoke during the hearing. The board then approved the modification by roll call as part of the additional resolutions considered that night. The connection-fee figure was also incorporated into the authority’s budget assumptions for the coming fiscal year.
