The Cascade Charter Township Board approved resolution 028-026 to permit a partial road closure at the Thornapple and Sheffield intersection for a neighborhood block party on Sept. 19 from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Township Manager Smith presented the request and confirmed that homeowners around the affected area would retain driveway access and would not be locked in. Trustee Shipley moved to approve the resolution; the motion was supported and the board approved the measure. The approved resolution will be forwarded to the Kent County sheriff's office for final coordination.
The board recorded the motion as passed and directed staff to transmit the approved resolution and the event route to the sheriff's office.
