Facilities lead Mr. Dalton told the board the goal is to preserve community access while reducing an annual deficit (current estimated expenses ~$85,000 with only ~$38,000 recovered) and offered phased changes such as an elementary court rate of $6 per hour and a high school court rate of $10 per hour, with gradual annual increases thereafter.
Board members sought impact analyses for association users, asked how custodial and tournament costs would be treated, and requested association meetings before the second read. Mr. Dalton said the district had modeled impacts and would meet with local associations between the first and second reads (next meeting scheduled July 27). The motion to approve the first read was made and carried by voice vote.
