Large lien-amnesty application for 430 Bushell Drive continued to Aug. 27 after due-process concerns

The magistrate agreed to continue the lien-amnesty application to the August 27, 2025 special-magistrate hearing to permit the city attorney and the property manager to confer and for the applicant to submit additional materials. Staff said the city is not prepared to relitigate prior jurisdictional questions in the lien-amnesty context but accepted the continuance in the interest of resolving evidence issues. The magistrate directed staff to review the record with the city attorney and to be prepared to address the notice and jurisdiction questions at the continued hearing.
The continuance preserves the staff-recommended reduction as a working recommendation but does not finalize any reduced amount pending further review and potential submission of documentary evidence by the property manager.
