PVNA chair urges activation of NET/BEECN teams; training scheduled

The chair reported the neighborhood shows no active NET presence and that 11% of BEECN sites in the district are active; she is pursuing NET chair training and plans to create a committee to build neighborhood pods in anticipation of regional disasters.
Reporting on the city-distributed emergency caches, the chair said, "No one is checking ours!" She encouraged interested residents to attend free NET/BEECN training on Nov. 18 and said the goal is to develop a top-tier team of local volunteers who can operate neighborhood pods during major incidents such as a Cascadia earthquake.
