Attendees expressed concern that restoration work downstream of 82nd Street is not progressing, in part because of encampment-related debris. A meeting participant said the "worst problem is the number of houseless people who throw in tents, sleeping bags, grocery carts, batteries and tons of needles."
Speakers urged that setbacks and stronger stewardship be used to protect the creek and its restoration sites. The discussion emphasized the creek’s importance as a watershed and called for continued councilor engagement and coordination with relevant agencies for long-term solutions.
