The City Council approved Council Bill 5, Series 2026, amending the 2026 budget to add a supplemental appropriation in the General Fund for planning support services provided by SAFEbuilt.
Community Development Director Paul Workman noted there were no changes since first reading. Councilor Doug Robinson moved and Councilor Karen Fisher seconded the ordinance on second and final reading; the roll-call vote was 6–0 in favor. The supplemental appropriation authorizes staff to contract for additional professional services to support Community Development workstreams, including workload relief for planning functions.
