Secondary report: enrollment, Measure 98 presentation invite and rise in college credits

Assistant Superintendent/Secondary Principal David Norton told the board the secondary program currently enrolls 151 students with an 89% attendance average. He said district administrators were invited by the Oregon Department of Education to present the district’s Measure 98 Plan at the Education Service District to other surrounding district leaders.
Norton also reported a rise in student college credits earned — from 152 combined credits three years ago to 313 last year — and described career-technical offerings. The Heavy Equipment class is scheduled for March 19–28; six students can attend and earn a Heavy Equipment Operating License. Norton and Mrs. Weinke are attending a Team Build Workshop focused on teaching students to build large-scale projects.
