District staff attended the AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) Summer Conference using Gear Up grant funding and were organized into content-area groups for training. As a result, teachers added "Rocket Binders" to help students with organization and implemented "focus notes" to enhance student note-taking practices.
Superintendent Troy Jerome reported that Pre-K enrollment stands at 14 students attending Monday–Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Pre-K students follow a schedule similar to other elementary grades and participate in music and PE; classrooms include one teacher and one aide for small-group learning.
