The Ipswich City Council entered executive session under SDCL 1-25-2(1)(3) beginning at 7:50 p.m. and reconvened at 8:43 p.m. After the session, the council approved hiring Chase Kraft as a Maintenance Technician with an annual salary of $52,500 (motion Heinz/Gauer) and approved hiring Lucas Metzinger as temporary help at $20 per hour.
The council also approved hiring seasonal lifeguards with listed hourly rates: Kathryn Kilber $18.00/hour; Jalyssa Hutson $17.50/hour; Praise Lang $17.50/hour; Madyson Gellhaus $17.50/hour; Jace Styles $16.50/hour; Natalie Crissman $16.50/hour; Brady Kilber $16.50/hour; Jerzi Miller $16.00/hour; and Amy Lange $16.00/hour (motion Larson/Gauer). The meeting adjourned at 8:45 p.m. on a motion recorded as Heinz/Hoyle.
