Riverside Local to install LED stadium lights in August after donor support

S1, a staff member, said the stadium light pole replacement is moving forward: "Yesterday, everything was released for delivery. Looks like the end of this month, everything will arrive on-site, and we will start installing the 1st week or so of August. The goal is to have everything up and operational by, August 21, if not sooner." S1 told the committee the only time the field will be sectioned off is during pole erection and fixture installation; otherwise the field should remain usable.
Committee members and staff confirmed the fixtures are LEDs and can support color programs and light shows. S2 (Staff member) said both the band and Gridiron groups donated toward the upgrades, noting they "gave significant donations within within the thousands of dollars too for the upgrade parts." Committee members discussed training and limited operator access for the lighting controls and suggested using the system for events outside athletics. The project timeline and operational target will be reported to the full board at the next presentation.
