Planning office wins grant; Selectboard signals preference for straight sidewalk at Champlain Farms

Planning and Zoning Administrator AZ Larsen told the Selectboard that the town received a Municipal Planning Grant to support the Planning Commission's Town Plan update and that the town's GIS system is now available to the public on the town website. Larsen said staff are working with consultant VHB to draft a letter to Champlain Farms owners to request input on sidewalk scoping options at the gas-station site and reported the Selectboard's design preference for a sidewalk that continues straight across the property rather than "jogging in toward the building."
Board members did not make a final design decision at the meeting; Larsen said the planning office will continue outreach and bring scoping options back to the board for future direction.
