Bristol Selectboard appoints town officers, adopts conduct guidelines and Robert’s Rules

The Selectboard took a series of statutory and procedural actions at its March 9 meeting. By unanimous vote the board appointed John Swepston as Tree Warden, Amy Smith as Health Officer, and Michael Leyden as Emergency Management Director.
Members also designated the Selectboard to serve as the Water Commission and the Sewer Commission and adopted Member Conduct Guidelines. The board approved the use of Robert’s Rules of Order for running meetings. The board acknowledged that Chair Ian Albinson will complete Open Meeting Law training within 60 days and agreed that a review of compliance with the statewide municipal Code of Ethics will be undertaken as necessary.
