Board appoints Keith Merrill to fill vacant Seat 1; takes oath

The River Ridge Community Development District Board unanimously appointed longtime Pelican Sound resident Keith Merrill to the vacant Seat 1 (term through November 2026) after a nomination by Chair Bob Schultz and a second by Assistant Secretary Robert Twombly. "Mr. Merrill has contributed a great deal to the community in his numerous HOA Board positions," Schultz said during the nomination.
Mrs. Adams administered the Oath of Office to Merrill as a duly authorized notary. District counsel Tony Pires and Mrs. Adams reviewed required ethics training, Form 1 disclosure, the Sunshine Law, public records obligations and the Form 8B memorandum for voting conflicts; the Board noted training and filing requirements that apply to new public officers.
